Front Desk Receptionist osition
Overview:
The overall responsibility of the Front office Receptionist is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining a smooth workflow to ensure quality patient outcomes. Front desk staff member functions as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home who facilitates a positive and efficient office environment.Front Office Responsibilities:
Greets and welcomes patients and visitors, answers telephones in a courteous and professional manner; address questions, take messages, direct calls appropriately. Collects and receives patient fees. Keeps patient appointments on schedule by ensuring a timely check in process and notifying appropriate staff via EMR of patient's arrival. Informs patients of Sliding Fee Scale and assists patients with filling out forms if needed. Accurately document information in EMR. Perform opening and closing procedures for the reception and check out desk. Optimize patients' satisfaction and provider time by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. Provide timely check out process and schedule follow up appointments as needed.
