Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary students in a Multi-Categorical classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. Located near Spartanburg, SC, this full-time, school-based opportunity is designed for an educator passionate about creating inclusive and structured learning environments for young learners with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications:
Possess valid South Carolina Special Education certification or be eligible for certification Background in teaching or supporting elementary-aged students (preferred) Proficient in differentiating instruction and managing a dynamic classroom Skilled in collaborating with general education teachers, families, and service providers Demonstrated ability to adapt to various learning profiles and behavioral needsYour Impact and Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted special education instruction aligned with individualized education program (IEP) goals Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to cater to students with a range of abilities and needs Apply effective behavior interventions and maintain a positive classroom climate Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support student achievement and well-being Monitor progress, manage data, and ensure compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team planning for student success This role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in students' academic journeys.
