Office Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
This list may not include all of the duties assigned and may be updated intermittently to accommodate miscellaneous duties as assigned. Answer incoming calls to the practice Schedule appointments for existing and new patients Recognize and register patients. Verify current informational status. Check all insurance for accuracy, make necessary phone calls. Direct all calls to appropriate parties. Knowledge of medical terminology. Explain office policies to patients as needed. Maintain a clean or orderly reception/waiting room and work area.. Follow HIPAA regulations. Follow OSHA rules and regulations. Maintain strictest confidentiality.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent Word processing, data entry, telephone and computer experience Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Tactfulness\soft spoken. Skills in answering the telephone in a pleasant, helpful manner using a multi-line phone system. Demonstrate willingness to adapt to change. Must be a self-starter and dependable. Able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible. Customer service experience. Able to speak/write English clearly and make self-understood. Good verbal and written communication skills Correct grammar, spelling skills, and legible writing. Able to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others. Confident positive manner and appearance. Correctable vision and hearing within normal range.
