Job Overview Carolina Health & Hearing is seeking an organized, patient-focused Front Office Receptionist to serve as a welcoming first point of contact for our patients. The Front Office Receptionist will manage phones and scheduling, assist with patient check-in, and work closely with providers and staff to keep daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment where exceptional patient care is a priority. Responsibilities Answer and manage a high volume of incoming phone calls while providing professional and courteous service Greet patients and provide a welcoming experience, including patient check-in and check-out and verification of patient information Collect, distribute, and process required patient paperwork and maintain accurate, organized patient records Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments while maintaining accurate daily provider schedules Assist providers and staff with schedule adjustments and communicate appointment changes clearly with patients and appropriate team members Respond to routine patient questions and direct clinical or administrative questions to the appropriate team member Verify and update patient insurance information and collect copays, payments, or other applicable fees in accordance with office procedures Process, scan, and upload patient forms, referrals, records, and other required documentation Assist with general front office duties and the day-to-day operations of the practice Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and patient area Follow office policies and procedures related to patient information, privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, providers, and coworkers Provide support to other Carolina Health & Hearing locations as needed Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the office and patient care team Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare, customer service, or administrative role preferred, but not required Professional, friendly, and patient-focused approach with strong interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and coworkers Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate patient and scheduling information Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment Comfortable interacting with patients of all ages and backgrounds and providing a welcoming, positive experience Comfortable answering and managing a high volume of phone calls Proficient with computers and able to learn and navigate electronic medical records, scheduling systems, and other office software Ability to handle patient information with discretion and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements Reliable, punctual, and dependable, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Willingness to learn, take direction, and assist with a variety of front office and administrative responsibilities Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Background check required Pay $18-$21 per hour, depending on experience.
