Law Firm Receptionist / Administrative Assistant Richardson, Wyly, Wise, Sauck & Hieb, LLP — Aberdeen, South Dakota Richardson, Wyly, Wise, Sauck & Hieb, LLP is seeking a professional, dependable, and personable full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our law firm in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Established in 1926, Richardson Law Firm provides a full range of legal services to individuals, families, businesses, and organizations. Position Summary The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while also providing essential administrative and clerical support to the attorneys and staff. The successful candidate will be professional, organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a busy legal office. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Primary Responsibilities Reception & Client Service Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls. Take messages and communicate information accurately to attorneys and staff. Assist clients and visitors with general inquiries and direct them to the appropriate attorney or staff member. Maintain a professional and organized reception area. Administrative & Clerical Support Open, sort, date, and distribute incoming mail. Prepare, address, stamp, and send outgoing mail and correspondence. Make copies, scan documents, and prepare documents for distribution. File documents and maintain organized paper and electronic files. Retrieve and organize files and documents as requested. Prepare routine correspondence, forms, labels, and other office materials. Assist with faxing, scanning, printing, and electronic document management. Maintain office supplies and notify appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered. Receive and distribute deliveries and packages. Assist with routine data entry and maintaining accurate office records. Provide general administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and other staff. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous reception, administrative, customer-service, or office experience preferred. Previous experience in a law firm or professional-services environment is a plus but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional telephone and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage interruptions in a busy office. Comfortable using computers, email, printers, scanners, copiers, and other standard office equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Ability to learn new office and legal software. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Dependable attendance and a professional appearance are essential. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be: Friendly, professional, and courteous when interacting with clients and visitors. Organized and detail-oriented. Dependable and willing to take initiative. Comfortable performing routine clerical and administrative tasks. Able to work independently while also being a team player. Comfortable handling multiple tasks and changing priorities. Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential information. Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

$20-$23 per hour , depending on qualifications and experience
