Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Receptionist to support daily operations at a well-organized testing center in Rapid City, South Dakota. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping visitors, maintaining an organized front desk, and ensuring a smooth check-in experience for test takers. The role combines customer-facing support with light administrative tasks and routine monitoring of the testing environment. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, comfort with web-based systems, and the ability to stay active throughout the workday.
  • This site operates Monday-Saturday. Candidates must have schedule flexibility and be available to work any day within that timeframe, based on testing center needs.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Welcome candidates upon arrival and guide them through the check-in process in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Verify identification and confirm that each visitor meets entry requirements before testing begins.
  • Inspect personal items and enforce testing center rules to ensure prohibited materials are not brought into the exam area.
  • Monitor the testing room at regular intervals by walking through the site and observing candidate activity.
  • Support web-based exam operations by assisting with basic navigation and responding to routine candidate questions.
  • Complete light administrative duties such as data entry, document handling, scanning, and maintaining organized records.
  • Communicate clearly with staff and visitors regarding procedures, scheduling, and general testing center expectations.
  • Help maintain a secure, orderly, and distraction-free environment for all individuals using the facility.
