Job Description

Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process, accurately capturing insurance information, and maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for patients and staff. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers while providing exceptional service to patients.
Key Responsibilities :
Obtain and Document Insurance Information :
Accurately gather and document current insurance details from patients.
Data Entry :
Enter and update patient demographic information into our system. Collaboration with
Co-workers :
Communicate with team members at the check-in area, sharing tasks to maximize efficiency and workflow.
Professional Environment :
Promote and maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented atmosphere for both patients and staff.
Insurance Knowledge :
Be aware of insurance requirements and participating plans, ensuring that all information is up to date.
Maintain Cleanliness :
Keep the check-in area neat, organized, and presentable at all times.
Appointment Scheduling :
Schedule patient appointments based on incoming calls and exiting patients' needs.
HIPAA Compliance :
Ensure all personal patient information is handled according to HIPAA regulations, and only to the extent necessary for job duties.
Qualifications :
Detail-Oriented :
Ability to accurately process and record information with high attention to detail.
Multi-tasking :
Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-Starter :
Motivated individual who takes pride in their work and can independently manage their tasks.
Positive Attitude :
Friendly, courteous, and compassionate approach when interacting with coworkers and patients.
Experience :
Previous experience in data entry, insurance verification, or a healthcare setting is a plus.
Quick Learner :
Ability to adapt to new processes and systems quickly.
Reliability :
Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Excellent Communication Skills :
Able to effectively communicate with patients, coworkers, and other departments.
Organizational Skills :
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain an organized work environment. Ability to
Perform Under Pressure :
Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Hours are typically 7:30 - 4:45 Monday thru Thursday and until approximately 12:00 on Friday.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
