Job Description
We're looking for a friendly, detail‑oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our Optometric team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in creating a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. What You'll Do Welcome and greet patients with professionalism as they arrive at our office. Uphold HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Manage patient flow, including checking patients in, verifying information, and checking them out after their office visit. Collect payments, process transactions, and maintain accurate financial records. Analyze and calculate balance sheets to support office financial operations. Calculate costs for contact lens orders and assist patients with product‑related questions. Gather and update demographic, medical history, and insurance information with accuracy and care. Verify insurance benefits, including deductibles, copays, and coverage details. Answer incoming calls and text messages, assist with patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service. Schedule and confirm appointments as well as referrals, ensuring efficient use of provider time and smooth patient scheduling. Faxing records and scanning documents Send appointment reminders and help patients stay on track with their eye‑care needs. Support daily office upkeep, including cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, tidying work areas, and vacuuming to maintain a clean, professional environment.
