Job Description

About us Modern Vet is a privately owned, small business in Springfield, TN. We are professional, fast-paced and inclusive. Sunday 9:30am
  • 3pm Monday
  • Friday 7:30am

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
  • Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures
  • Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and inquiries
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of animal care and handling techniques
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and scheduling
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Skills:
  • Animal husbandry: Understanding of animal nutrition, breeding, and general care practices.
  • Veterinary critical care: Knowledge of emergency veterinary procedures and protocols for critical patients.
  • Animal handling: Proficiency in safely restraining animals during examinations or treatments.
  • Animal care: Ability to provide basic care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medication.
  • Veterinary:
    Familiarity with veterinary terminology, procedures, and protocols.
  • Medical collection: Experience in collecting payment for medical services rendered.
