Law firm in Allen, Texas is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Legal Receptionist to support the firm's attorneys, staff, and clients. This position is a good fit for someone who is comfortable serving as the first point of contact for clients while also assisting with administrative, intake, billing, and general office responsibilities. Prior law-firm experience is preferred. Responsibilities Answer and route incoming telephone calls in a professional manner Respond to general client inquiries and direct substantive legal questions to the appropriate attorney or staff member Monitor and respond to the firm's general email inboxes Greet clients, visitors, vendors, and other office guests Assist with prospective-client intake, including gathering information, tracking leads, scheduling consultations, and following up as needed Maintain accurate intake records and assist with tracking the status of prospective matters Assist the Managing Attorney and other attorneys with administrative time-entry and billing-related tasks Order and maintain office supplies and coordinate routine office needs Assist with scheduling, document organization, scanning, filing, and other general administrative functions Use the firm's practice-management and communication systems accurately and consistently Learn and use artificial intelligence and other technology tools to improve administrative efficiency and productivity Assist attorneys and staff with additional law-firm administrative projects as requested Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional and courteous telephone manner Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy professional environment Comfortable communicating with clients, attorneys, courts, vendors, and other professionals Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and general office technology Ability and willingness to learn new software and technology, including artificial-intelligence tools Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately Previous receptionist, administrative, legal-assistant, or law-firm experience preferred What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is proactive, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership of routine administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will not simply answer phones, but will help keep the office organized, assist with client intake and follow-up, and support attorneys with day-to-day administrative needs.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, in office.
