In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyewear needs, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical principles and be able to work effectively in a clinical setting. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their needs and preferences. Conduct measurements for proper frame fitting, including pupillary distance and segment height. Provide education on proper eyewear care and maintenance. Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear as needed to ensure optimal fit and comfort. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology. Ensure the laboratory is organized, clean, and compliant with aseptic techniques. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills or knowledge: Familiarity with clinic operations and procedures. Understanding of physiology, anatomy, and vital signs as they relate to eye care. Experience with medical coding related to optical services is a plus. Knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales tracking. Experience working with pediatrics is beneficial but not required.
