Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations in Austin, Texas. This part-time contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment while managing incoming calls and visitor interactions with efficiency and courtesy. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors, provide a positive first impression, and direct guests to the appropriate departments or team members.
- Manage a multi-line phone system by answering incoming calls promptly, routing them accurately, and taking clear messages when needed.
- Support day-to-day reception activities, including maintaining the front desk area and assisting with general administrative tasks.
- Respond to inbound inquiries in a courteous and attentive manner while ensuring callers receive timely assistance.
- Coordinate communication between visitors, callers, and internal staff to help keep office operations running smoothly.
- Monitor and prioritize multiple phone lines at once while maintaining accuracy and courtesy in every interaction. Requirements
- Prior experience in a receptionist or front-desk support role is preferred.
- Ability to operate a multi-line phone or switchboard system handling up to 10 lines.
- Strong verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and customer-focused approach.
- Comfortable answering a high volume of inbound calls and routing information accurately.
- Ability to stay organized and manage several tasks at the same time.
- Availability to work in a part-time capacity as needed for the assignment.
