We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone in a courteous and professional manner. Operate a multi-line telephone system to answer, screen, and forward calls; take messages and schedule referral appointments. Check patients in and out, verify insurance and benefit coverage, and collect co-pays or outstanding balances at the time of service. Assemble and maintain patient charts, including preparation for new and walk-in patients. Run daily patient count reports and provide copies to the Office Manager. Assist patients with paperwork and track "walk-outs". Follow up with patients to reschedule missed appointments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and reception area. Monitor and manage waiting room TV content to ensure it is appropriate for all audiences. Ensure patients complete satisfaction surveys and submit them securely. Notify medical assistants of patient arrivals and delays to maintain schedule flow. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Assist in emergency situations and provide comfort to patients in distress. Maintain office supply inventory and notify supervisor of shortages. Balance and reconcile payments collected during shifts. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Use EMR system efficiently for patient records and scheduling. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Proficient in English (oral and written communication). Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to stand for extended periods, occasionally lift up to 10 pounds, and perform light physical tasks. This position operates in a professional medical office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
