Job Description
Job Summary The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our medical clinic. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing patient check-in and check-out, scheduling appointments, taking payments and ensuring smooth communication between patients, providers, and staff. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service, be detail oriented, professional and mature. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner. Answer multi-line phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments. Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or outstanding balances. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff. Assist with patient forms, intake documentation, and necessary follow-up. Handle patient check-out, scheduling of follow-up visits, and referrals. Maintain the front desk area in a clean, organized, and professional manner. Support clinic operations by assisting with administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office certification preferred. 3-5+ year of experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and EMR systems preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Professional appearance and demeanor.
