Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in dental terminology, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage multi-line phone systems, handling incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Vix Win, Scan Box Pro, ect. Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance verification processes. Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT coding and ICD-10 documentation review. Assist with the intake process by collecting necessary patient information and updating medical records. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and data entry using Microsoft Office applications. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic. Address patient inquiries regarding services, appointments, and medical records with excellent customer service skills. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred; dental office experience is a plus. Familiarity with EHR systems such as Dentrix is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and health information management is essential. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Strong computer skills with proficiency in typing and using multi-line phone systems are required. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes.
