Job Description

We are looking for a Part Time Front Desk coordinator/Doctor's Assistant with outstanding customer service skills to join our concierge style clinic which specializes in Dry Eye management utilizing medical treatments and in office procedures. Experience in a healthcare setting or past ophthalmology/optometry experience is highly preferred! We are a close knit team and our ideal candidate is a self starter, someone who is highly motivated in helping us grow our practice and excited to deep dive and learn a new and advancing specialty! Hours will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 am - 4 pm. We offer a great work environment and opportunity for growth. We look forward to hearing from you!!
Some responsibilities include:
Checking patients in and out ensuring appointments run on time. Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone. Entering patient information into database including but not limited to documenting any changes or updates to a patients care. Receive and sort through text messages, mail, email and fax deliveries. Responding when necessary Perform additional clerical duties when necessary, including but not limited to scanning, faxing, shredding and sending sensitive information. Collecting payment/ going over payment options. Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling and maintaining of appointments. Ability to understand medical insurance as it pertains to the treatments we offer and relay copays/ costs to patients. Maintaining office inventory, expiration dates and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders. Restocking office when necessary. The ability to maintain cleanliness of the office where necessary. The ability to answer phones and any questions patients may have and relaying the information to the appropriate party when necessary. Organization and time management needed in order to complete a variety of tasks including but not limited to sending prescriptions, forms, letters and documents when needed. Educating patients on the products and services we provide. Creating charts with patient's information including but not limited to the doctor they are seeing, treatment being done and any payments that need to be made. Maintaining invoices with patient's charges including billing and preparation. Collecting and verifying consent forms are sent and obtained prior to their treatment with the doctor. Working directly with the physician to prepare patients for exams and procedures. Able to educate patient on procedure expectations.
Pay:
