Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist Perfect for High School Seniors!

Love dogs? Looking for an after-school job in a fun, fast-paced environment? The Dog Stop® in Katy is looking for a dependable, energetic, and friendly Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team! This position is ideal for a responsible high school senior who loves dogs, enjoys helping people, and can handle a busy environment with lots of movement and multitasking. Must be able to work 3 PM - 7 PM | Monday-Friday + alternating

Saturdays Responsibilities Include:

Greeting customers and their pets Checking dogs in and out for daycare, boarding, and grooming Escorting dogs to and from playrooms Setting up boarding kennels as needed Answering phones and scheduling appointments Answering questions about our services and products Retail sales and inventory tracking Building strong customer relationships Managing client information in our database Assisting with social media content creation and management Creating simple photo and video content for social media Giving tours of the facility This role requires strong multitasking skills, excellent customer service, and lots of walking throughout the day.

Preferred Qualifications:

Retail or customer service experience preferred Strong communication skills Basic computer skills Comfortable taking photos and videos for social media Experience creating short social media videos (Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok) preferred Reliable transportation Flexible schedule and some weekend availability 3 professional references preferred Dog care experience is a plus but not required—we can teach the right person!
