We are seeking a professional, dependable, and highly organized Medical Front Desk Representative to join our outpatient clinical team. This position is often the patient's first point of contact with the practice, so strong communication and customer-service skills are essential. Previous medical-office experience and eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Greet patients professionally and provide excellent customer service. Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments according to established scheduling protocols. Accurately register new patients and update existing patient demographic information. Ensure required patient paperwork is completed and appropriate documentation is obtained. Verify insurance information and patient eligibility as required. Obtain and accurately enter insurance and demographic information into the EHR. Collect copays, deductibles, balances, and other patient payments as appropriate. Provide patients with clear information regarding appointments, paperwork, and clinic processes. Route telephone calls, messages, and patient requests to the appropriate clinical staff. Maintain awareness of provider schedules and assist with efficient patient flow. Monitor cancellations and no-shows and assist with rescheduling patients. Scan, upload, and appropriately route documents according to established workflows. Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, nursing staff, management, and other departments. Follow established front-office procedures and organizational policies. Required Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to properly count money. Strong customer-service and telephone skills. Professional demeanor when interacting with patients, providers, and coworkers. Strong computer and data-entry skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a busy medical-office environment. Ability to communicate effectively with patients who may be frustrated, confused, or require additional assistance. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct. Preferred Qualifications Previous medical front-desk or medical-office experience. eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience strongly preferred. Experience with medical scheduling and patient registration. Experience with insurance verification and eligibility. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare workflows.
