Job Description

Front/Back Office Receptionist - Medical Practice We are seeking a professional, friendly, and dependable Front/Back Office Receptionist to join our medical practice. This position is often the first point of contact for our patients and visitors and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy medical office. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer questions, provide directions, and notify appropriate staff when visitors arrive. Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, route calls to the appropriate staff members, take detailed messages, and document communications in the appropriate system. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Check patients in and out and collect copays and other patient-responsibility balances when applicable. Maintain accurate visitor/building logs. Receive mail, packages, and deliveries and distribute them to the appropriate recipients. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and front-office area. Sort and process incoming faxes, referrals, and medical records. Assist with scanning, filing, data entry, and general administrative duties. Communicate professionally with patients, providers, staff, referring offices, and outside facilities. Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies. Assist other front-office team members as needed to maintain efficient patient flow. Travel to our satellite office approximately twice per month as part of the position.
