Veterinary Receptionist

True Animal Vet is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The Veterinary Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our clients and will play an important role in creating a welcoming and friendly environment for our patients and their owners. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills and enjoy interacting with people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and checking in clients and their pets for appointments, surgeries, and procedures
• Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate staff member
• Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment book
• Educating clients about our services, fees, and policies
• Collecting and processing payments for services rendered
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient records using ezyVet software
• Coordinating with the veterinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent customer service
• Maintaining a clean and organized front desk and reception area
• Performing other administrative duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements:

Monday - Friday (4 days), 7:30am - 4:30pm, 1-hour lunch break Every other Saturday, 7:30am-1:00pm 4.25 day/week work schedule High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a customer service role preferred Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures is a plus Experience using ezyVet practice management software is a plus but we will train you Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
