Job Title Office Receptionist - Coordinator -
Prescott Arkansas Clinic Hours:
M-F 8AM TO 5PM
Summary:
To make a professional, courteous impression on patients by registering, aiding and assisting with any problems involved in the registration process. The coordination and supervision of business office activities in the areas of reception and registration, cashier and collection functions, and the indirect supervision of nursing and laboratory personnel assigned to the Prescott location.
Duties:
1. Opens Prescott location preparing office to receive patients. 2. Prepares work-ups for patient visit. 3. Registers patients following standard clinic guidelines. 4. Sets up new patient accounts obtaining appropriate account information. 5. Prepares medical records for new patients. 6. Collects information for worker's compensation claims. 7. Discussed delinquent accounts with patients and collects on accounts. 8. Answers telephone, taking appropriate message or assisting when necessary. 9. Corresponds with personnel at other locations. 10. Prepares receipts for patient's payment. 11. Orders supplies. 12. Performs duty of closing-out. 13. Provides feedback and reports to Administration on the Prescott location functions. 14. Coordinates Prescott activities with other departments and locations. 15. Assists in updating clinic policies in all areas of business administration and sees that policies are enforced. 16. Makes insurance referrals as needed. 17. Fax prescriptions, referrals. 18. Follow-up phone calls for Nursing & make appointments. 19. Call hospital, Doctor's offices to get reports, MRI, CT, X-ray, etc.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Knowledge of computers and varying type of software. 3. Medical office experience extremely desirable. 4. An understanding of general office procedures.
