Job Description Harmony Pet Clinic is a fun and progressive place to work. We are looking for an experienced receptionist who is compassionate, love pets and cares to give an excellent customer service. You will have a very significant role in communicating with clients and team members.
Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year experience as veterinary receptionist.
General Requirements:
  • Empathetic, loving and genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
  • Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis and upset clients.
  • Is able to work effectively and follow directions.
  • Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all hospital staff members.
  • Has excellent client communication skills and professional attitude.
  • Working conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal stools.
May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
Job Responsibilities:
Welcomes and provides compassionate care to patients/clients. Maintains harmonious, cooperative relationships with other employees. Performs all duties in accordance with hospital medical policies and procedures. Prepares and maintains clean exam rooms and reception area. Prepares medical chart for future appointments, takes weight, admits and discharges patients. Process payment, make appointments, send text and phone call reminders, update reminders/records. Great with computer, typing and phone skills. Assists other staff members as required, willing to learn in other areas of veterinary clinic. May assist in restraining pets when necessary. (we work with companion animals: cats and dogs) Spanish Speaker a plus.

$12.00 - $16.00 per hour
