Following Areas:

Registers all patients, gives new patients medical forms to complete. Orders all necessary laboratory tests. Verifies patient demographic, employment, and insurance information. Explains the registration process and gives directions to new patients. Answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner; takes messages; directs calls to appropriate staff members. Maintains a good working relationship with office/clinic staff members, physicians, other hospital departments, and laboratory staff. Performs other duties as assigned (fax results to physicians, copy/scan as necessary, answer phone, register, order lab tests as necessary, and some laboratory processing as needed). Professional Requirements Ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times. Excellent attendance record. Wears appropriate clothing for job functions. Wears ID badge. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, administration, and staff. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. HIPAA compliant.
