Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Optometry Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients visiting our optometry clinic, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline patient intake, manage appointments, and support the overall operations of our busy practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using RevolutionEHR system. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes Schedule patient appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate follow-up visits Collect payments, process medical collections, and manage billing tasks Maintain precise medical records by reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries promptly Manage front desk operations including filing, faxing, data entry, and maintaining organized medical records Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office support role within an optometry or dental clinic setting for 1 year Familiarity with optometry EHR systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health information management software Outstanding phone etiquette, communication skills, and ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment Previous clinic experience with medical office management or front desk responsibilities is highly desirable Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially following HIPAA guidelines Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and administrative tasks Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to providing exceptional eye care services!
