Full Job Description Job Summary:
As a Front Desk Agent at Candlewood Suites, you are the first point of contact for guests and play a critical role in providing a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out experience. You will handle reservations, respond to guest inquiries, and ensure a high level of customer service, all while upholding the IHG brand standards and the unique extended-stay atmosphere of Candlewood Suites.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Check guests in and out efficiently using the hotel's property management system. Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications both in person and over the phone. Address guest concerns and requests promptly to ensure satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, services, local attractions, and directions. Process payments accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer. Promote IHG Rewards Club memberships and other hotel programs. Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area. Monitor guest safety and report any suspicious activity or security concerns. Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth operations. Uphold Candlewood Suites brand standards and guest service expectations at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or hospitality training preferred. Previous front desk, customer service, or hotel experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in basic computer applications; experience with hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera or IHG systems) is a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behavior. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Standing for extended periods. Fast-paced, guest-facing role. May include night shifts
