Job Description
Overview Medical/Cosmetic practice in Reston, VA is looking for an employee, Front Desk Associate We are an Ophthalmology and facial plastic surgery practice providing our patients with medical and cosmetic surgeries, dermal injections and many other aesthetic services. The right person will be someone: o Who takes pride in their contributions, o Has ownership of their space and tasks, o Takes initiative and loves learning, o Is curious and engaging, o Has excellent computer skills, o Open to cross-training and learning other responsibilities, o Believes in delivering top-tier customer service. We are looking for someone who loves people, has a committed outlook, and a mature, professional manner. Experience in a medical environment is a must. There will be training in the majority of your duties. However, exemplary customer service and phone skills are crucial. o Must be on time. o Answers multi-line phone system; must possess excellent verbal skills. o Opens office daily for appointments and locks up at night. o Controls the schedule using our Nextech software. o Communicates with prospects and patients via email; must possess excellent written communication skills. o Completes many daily tasks via Nextech and appointment confirmation software. o Creates patient bills and accepts payment; accurately accounts for all receipts, provides end of day reports. o Scans and files documents into electronic patient charts. o Follows up with patients about upcoming surgeries, includes obtaining signed consents and pre-op clearance, prepayments, and scheduling post-op appointments. o Takes photos and applies numbing cream to patients, as needed. o Picks up and drops off daily mail. o Light housekeeping chores. o Understands medical insurance and coding. Understands Insurance verifications and prior authorization process. Pay $20- $22 per hour, commensurate with experience. Full time employee will work 40 hours per week, and are eligible for health insurance and 401k and free aesthetic treatments.
