Smithfield, Virginia Hiring Range $15.00 - $19.50/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview The Receptionist role provides a variety of general administrative and reception duties. Answers telephones and directs callers to appropriate staff. Greets and directs all visitors. Maintains office supplies. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other software as needed. Utilizes the Riverside Care Difference principles in all interactions. Performs other duties as assigned. What you will do Provides general clerical support for department/facility.
Duties include:
reception, greetings, customer service, mail distribution, etc. Performs administrative support tasks such as proofreading, composing and sending simple letters and memos. May perform other tasks such as administrative duties to support special events or projects. Responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of calls and forwards calls to appropriate individuals. Takes thorough written messages and delivers messages in a timely manner or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate individuals are unavailable. Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards to appropriate individuals. Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with various information as needed. Monitors ordering of supplies to remain within operating budget. Maintains proper levels in office supplies, which may require checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies. Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting functions/duties within the department. May manage petty cash. Maintains a positive working relationship with all staff to reflect the Riverside Care Difference.
