WE ARE The Shaheen Law Firm is a Virginia based firm with offices in Richmond, Midlothian, Virginia Beach, and Newport News. WE NEED We are looking for full-time office support in our Virginia Beach office. The position requires an individual skilled in a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, strong computer skills, and the ability to work and interact with a variety of individuals. You must be self-aware and able to work both as part of the team and independently and productively as the situation may dictate. Employment is contingent on successful passing of a background and credit check.
THE ROLE
Our real estate paralegal assistant supports our real estate paralegals and our attorneys by performing a variety of duties, including: Communicating with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and municipalities to obtain information for closings Investigating and follow-up on outstanding payments/checks Processing and transmitting completed documentation to lenders Answering phones/emails Meeting with clients and real estate professionals Coordinating with attorneys to conduct real estate transactions quickly and accurately to provide an excellent experience for the client. Preparing mail overnight/regular General clerical office support Pay is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma (or equivalent) Previous office experience a plus Performs job duties while maintaining a high level of customer service Type at a fast and accurate pace Proficient with Microsoft Suite Pro-active, take initiative, and excellent assertive follow-through skills Ability to work on multiple deadline-driven tasks in a fast-paced environment Skilled with technology and the ability to work paperless The ability to follow directions is essential Ability to convey information effectively and accurately both verbally and written Professional manner and appearance Team player
