Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 pm Overview Join our vibrant pet care team as a Part-Time Dog Bather/Receptionist, where your enthusiasm for animals and excellent customer service skills will shine! In this dynamic role, you'll be the expert responsible for ensuring every dog looks and feels clean for the groomers. You'll also help with appointment scheduling, greet clients, and provide a welcoming environment for pet owners and their furry friends. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to combine your love for animals with a lively, engaging work atmosphere. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures in a professional manner Entering grooming notes and vaccination records into the system Bathe and dry dogs according to their specific needs and groomer requests Handle animal restraint safely and compassionately during bathing procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming stations and reception area Schedule appointments, manage client records, and communicate effectively with pet owners and groomers Assist with light daily cleaning and kennel cleaning as needed to support overall animal care operations Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring a positive experience Requirements Passion for animal care, especially dog handling Experience with dog bathing, preferred Knowledge and confidence with dog behaviors Must be able to file alphabetically Must have good spelling, writing and reading skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary up to 50 lbs (e.g., lifting dogs or supplies) Previous animal handling experience including veterinary assistant or veterinary technician roles is advantageous Willingness to learn new skills related to pet care and grooming standards Must have reliable attendance, including reliable transportation Must be at least 18 years of age Must have high school diploma/GED This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to make a difference in pets' lives while providing exceptional service to their owners.
