State Ave Veterinary Hospital (SAVH) & Vetted Pet (Riverbend Pet Center Program)Position Type:
Full-Time Position Summary The Phone Room / Front Desk Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring efficient communication, accurate scheduling, and exceptional customer service. This role supports both SAVH and Vetted Pet operations and requires flexibility to rotate between facilities as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Communication & Customer Service Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally using multi-line phone systems (e.g., Weave) Respond to client inquiries regarding services, pricing, scheduling, and policies Maintain a courteous, professional, and solution-oriented demeanor at all times De-escalate client concerns and direct issues appropriately through the chain of command Scheduling & Coordination Schedule appointments accurately for veterinary services, boarding, grooming, and day play Prioritize pre-existing appointments; only schedule work-ins/ER cases per availability and protocol Confirm appointments and communicate preparation instructions (fasting, drop-off times, etc.) Ensure proper documentation of all communications in the practice management system (eVet/Covetrus) Front Desk Operations Check clients and patients in/out efficiently Collect and process payments at time of service in accordance with hospital policy Maintain accurate client and patient records Ensure the front desk remains staffed and organized at all times Administrative Duties Manage email and digital communication platforms (e.g., Connecteam) Assist with record requests, prescription processing, and general administrative tasks Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information Cross-Facility Support Rotate between SAVH and Vetted Pet as assigned Assist with front desk duties related to boarding/day play check-ins and check-outs Communicate effectively with both medical and boarding teams to ensure continuity of care Qualifications Previous veterinary, medical office, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and multitasking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Basic computer proficiency (practice management software experience preferred) Work Environment & Expectations Must maintain professionalism in high-stress situations Fun environment Strict adherence to chain of command Punctuality and reliability are essentialPay:
