Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient medical records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA.

Responsibilities:

•Organize and maintain patient medical records, both electronic and paper-based. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records. Respond to requests for medical records from patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers, adhering to all privacy regulations. Scan, index, and file medical records, ensuring easy retrieval. Assist with audits and quality assurance activities related to medical records. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all privacy policies and regulations. Update and maintain patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with medical records experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in computer skills, including scanning, filing, and data entry. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
