Job description Medical Receptionist We are a naturopathic clinic dedicated to whole-person, integrative healthcare. Our clinic has been a part of the community for two decades, and our commitment to providing compassionate patient care is reflected by every member on our team. Position The Administrative Assistant is the first face our patients see at the clinic. They are responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling and smooth coordination between our doctors and patients. Our ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient scheduling, answering calls, patient requests, and handling a heavy volume of retail sales in a privately owned naturopathic clinic Process coinsurance, copays, and deductible payments Handle patient concerns with professionalism and empathy Support smooth patient intake by collecting patient demographics and running insurance verification through our EHR real-time eligibility system Maintain a calm, welcoming environment for patients and staff Qualifications Experience in a medical office setting or healthcare administration preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency with EHR/practice management software Excellent interpersonal abilities and a passion for customer service Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements A strong belief in health autonomy, informed consent, and respect for everyone's individual health decisions As a small clinic, reliable attendance is mandatory for this role
