Duties Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently Handle medical collections accurately while maintaining compliance with DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and USDA regulations Support veterinary critical care activities by coordinating laboratory tests, medical records, and medication administration Manage veterinary software systems for record keeping, appointment scheduling, and billing processes Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments Maintain kennel areas and assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and basic animal care routines Facilitate laboratory experience tasks including sample collection, processing, and documentation for diagnostic purposes Experience Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital environment is required; familiarity with veterinary terminology is essential Demonstrated proficiency in veterinary administrative support tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing, and client communication Hands-on experience with medical collection procedures and understanding of drug regulations (DEA) and USDA guidelines Knowledge of companion animal medicine including surgery preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care Ability to handle diverse animals confidently using proper restraint techniques for safety during examinations or procedures Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in high-pressure situations Experience working with laboratory tests, laboratory equipment, or laboratory procedures is advantageous If you're passionate about compassionate pet care, enjoy working with people, and want to be part of a positive, supportive workplace, we'd love to have you join our team!
