About the role:
We are looking for a highly organized, professional, and energetic individual to join our team as a Reservations Specialist at A Dog's Best Friend. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring that every client and their dog receives a warm welcome while maintaining seamless operations in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate possesses mastery of multitasking, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple communication channels, including phone, email, text, and in person interactions, simultaneously without sacrificing quality or accuracy. You are a clear, articulate speaker and highly proficient in written communication, ensuring all client interactions remain professional and efficient. Furthermore, you must be able to thrive in a busy lobby, maintaining a focused and welcoming attitude even during peak hours to ensure every client feels valued. Your key responsibilities will include managing inquiries and bookings across all platforms with speed and clarity, as well as coordinating daycare, training, and boarding reservations and sales to ensure efficient facility capacity. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized lobby environment, greeting every client and dog, and securely escorting each dog into the daycare area. Additionally, you will keep accurate, up to date records of client contact information and vaccination statuses. Finally, you will oversee daily arrivals and departures while proactively promoting our daily specials and premium treat offerings.Perks & Opportunities:

Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of 1 year of front office or reception experience
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift (5+ hours)
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Open and flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings
- Comfortable handling dogs both on leash and off leash in a pack environment
- Kind, positive, and professional demeanor
- Receptive to feedback and adaptive
Preferences:
- Experience with reception duties, customer service, and comfortable with client interaction
- Experience in a doggie daycare, kennel, animal shelter, rescue, or veterinary facility
- Confidence in handling dogs of all breeds and personality types
- Self-motivated and self-starter with productive tendencies
