Veterinary receptionists focus on client service and communication that is second to none. They are the first and last people our clients have contact with and are key to creating positive lasting impressions. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with animals and people, has an outgoing and friendly personality and who is able to communicate effectively even during emotional or stressful situations. Our ideal candidate should feel comfortable with computers and confident that he or she can learn the appropriate medical records software that we use (Cornerstone). He or she will also have excellent skills in customer service, multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks, and working as part of a team in a supportive atmosphere, servicing clientele dedicated to high quality pet care.
Job duties include the following:
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answering phone calls on a multiple-line phone system
  • Handling payment transactions
  • Checking clients and patients in for their appointments
  • Daily routine cleaning such as sweeping and mopping floors & cleaning examination rooms
  • Filling prescriptions and food orders with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds of pet food Compensation is dependent on education and prior experience.
Starting salary of $16/hour. Experience is preferred but will train. Part-time hours will be offered (approximately 18-22 hours per week), including some Saturday A.M. hours. Please visit parkpethospital.com for more information about our practice. Park Pet Hospital is an EOA.
