About Us:

RBD California Restaurants Limited, a division of Restaurant Brands New Zealand and a franchisee of KFC, is seeking an enthusiastic administrator to assist us with supporting our store operations and Restaurant Support Center (RSC). The Facilities Supervisor will support over 70 of our KFC restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area, particularly with facilities management and operations.

Role Overview:

The Internal Control Specialist is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the company's control environment, internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. This role involves setting up internal control framework, conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and strengthening internal control frameworks. Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand processes and controls. Identify risks and design effective control measures. Develop and maintain risk-control matrices (RCMs). Perform control testing and document results. Map and document workflows, controls, and monitoring activities. Support audit planning, execution, and reporting. Conduct audits and identify control weaknesses. Prepare audit findings and recommend improvements. Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures. Promote a culture of accountability and compliance. Assist with risk identification, assessment, and monitoring. Maintain and update the audit risk register. Conduct store audits and assess operational risks. Summarize findings and recommend control enhancements. Support benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide training and guidance on audit and compliance practices. Coach teams to improve process efficiency and controls. Collaborate with stakeholders to address audit findings. Liaise with external auditors when required. Support the Internal Audit Manager and IA Director on special projects and ad hoc tasks. Experience & education directions:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field work experiences
• Minimum 3 years work experience
• Accounting firm working experiences are a plus (Big 4).

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range:

$85,000 to $100,000

• Employer-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
