Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has served the greater San Diego community since 1924. We're also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center. This is a part-time, benefit eligible position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. The shift will be from 7PM to 3:30AM working from Sunday-Tuesday. The PBX Operator answers calls and routine inquiries, routing to intended destination. Appropriately responds to and documents emergency situations, per policy and guidelines. Acts as a part of a team, including training new employees. Pages physicians, security or employees as appropriate via radio, pagers, computer, or over-head PA system. Follows all documentation procedures. Completes additional task such as sorting and mailing messages during downtime, delivering messages to physician offices and completing and distributing daily sheets.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

Strong customer service skills, computer skills, and ability to work in fast pace environment using repetitive hand motion with the ability to multi-task.

Prferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

Health care experience, and Call Center/PBX experience. Position Pay Range:

$25.00-$29.29/hour
