GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Our company is currently seeking a Tool Control Specialist to carry out various tasks in our client's production facility. The ideal candidate will have hand tool experience, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining current production machinery, inventorying hand tools, scanning tools, laser etching tools, tool kit assembly, and reporting any inconsistencies or quality issues directly to the Production Manager. This position is for full-time employment, including company benefits.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanical and electrical knowledge of production machinery including CNC machines and laser cutters.
• Inspect incoming tools, catalog, and enter in inventory management system.
• Operate etching and laser scanning equipment with proper training.
• Assemble individually produced elements into a final product.
• Conduct quality control review of produced goods assuring they meet company provided guidelines.
• Measure and record data using a tape measure and calipers.
• Pack product for shipping to clients.
• Maintain a clean and presentable work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

• High school diploma / GED required.
• Mechanical and / or electrical technical training preferred.

Experience and Required Skills :

• 2+ years' work experience in tool control, production, manufacturing, or construction equivalent.
• Excellent problems solving / troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented work environment.
• Excellent communication skills and high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
• Some knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Excel.

Other :

• Prefer a degree of computer literacy in order to be trained in inventory management system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds unassisted.
• Able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Able to operate in a loud production environment.

Days and Hours :

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
