Job Description

General Summary Operates clinic switchboard, provides routine information, and directs calls to appropriate departments. Works under the supervision of the Patient Services Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule. Answers phone lines in a polite and friendly manner. Transfers incoming calls to appropriate departments for main campus. Communicates general clinic information to general public. Responds to emergency calls according to established procedures. Uses paging system according to procedure Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To Assists in the collection of data related to the operation of the switchboard area. Maintains flexibility of work schedule to cover absences. Signs for incoming packages, if necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Required:
Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire. Completes all tasks within established time frame. Knowledge of current communication system or equivalent system. Ability to speak clearly and concisely with a pleasant voice. Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. Adheres to all clinic policies and procedure.
Education:
HS diploma or GED.
