Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This position is responsible for responding to all internal and external calls received through The Hotel Hershey's main switchboard. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Transferring calls to the appropriate destination Accepting requests for and placing wake-up calls at the designated times Accepting and delivering accurate messages Monitoring the heat/smoke detector panel Activating emergency response procedures when necessary Monitoring two-way radio communication with security/engineering and guest service teams Handling and following up on evening calls for the Housekeeping Department Employing the paging system to locate staff Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. A minimum of 1 year of experience working in customer service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated courtesy, clarity of speech, and good judgment. Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organization skills. Basic keyboarding skills and ability to type 35 wpm. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Professional image representative of property image.
Job Demands:
This is a part-time year round position. The working schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Physical requirements include sitting (up to 100% of the shift), hearing, speaking clearly and finger dexterity. Ability to work 2nd shift as required by business levels, including weekends and holidays.
