PRIMARY PURPOSE

To operate a multi-line switchboard to relay incoming calls, welcome visitors, and serve as a positive public relations advocate for the school district.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or equivalent

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Exhibit effective working relationships with staff and school community. Have a service-oriented personality Effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills Bilingual preferred; not required

EXPERIENCE

None

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Operate a multi-line switchboard and direct calls to specific personnel. Handle telephone calls in a polite and informative manner Greet visitors Respond to telephone inquires regarding school programs and activities Give directions to visitors, clients, and school personnel Perform other duties as assigned
