MAVO Smog, VSSI & Registration is hiring an experienced DMV Registration Services Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who has previous hands-on experience working in a California vehicle registration service, DMV-related office, dealership registration department, or similar position . This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate should already be comfortable reviewing DMV documents, completing registration transactions, and assisting customers with different types of title and registration paperwork. Responsibilities Process California vehicle registration transactions Handle title transfers and registration renewals Process salvage and revived salvage transactions Assist with out-of-state vehicle registration paperwork Process duplicate titles, replacement plates/tags, and other DMV transactions Review titles, bills of sale, REG forms, and supporting documents for accuracy Determine what documents are required for different DMV transactions Collect fees and accurately enter customer/vehicle information Explain DMV requirements clearly to customers Maintain organized transaction records and paperwork Work alongside our Smog and VSSI services to provide customers with a complete vehicle-service experience Requirements Previous California DMV registration services experience required Strong knowledge of California DMV paperwork and registration procedures Experience processing title transfers and registration transactions Familiarity with DMV REG forms and supporting documentation Ability to identify missing or incorrect paperwork before processing a transaction Comfortable working directly with customers Strong attention to detail Reliable, organized, and professional Basic computer and office equipment skills Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a strong plus: DMV Business Partner Automation / BPA systems Electronic Vehicle Registration (EVR) systems Salvage and revived salvage transactions Dealer or auction paperwork VIN verification documentation Out-of-state title transactions Vehicle registration service businesses About
