Our Title Specialists play a critical role in our vehicle life cycle process which includes primary responsibility for processing vehicle titles and license documents for our new and used vehicle customers. Follows up with these customers, sales-representatives and finance & insurance specialists on missing or incomplete requirements. Also follows up with state/local licensing officials as well as with our lending partners to ensure each transaction is accurately completed by the indicated required due dates.
Responsibilities:
Processes the necessary paperwork to ensure that all vehicles are properly titled and licensed Processes required online documentation and follows all online compliance laws Reviews documentation to identify and correct any inconsistencies in required documentation Processes any additional requests for customers or internal departments Interfaces as necessary with local and out of state title agencies, auction personnel, wholesale buyers, customers, manufacturers, lending partners, internal personnel, etc. Handles logistics for titles, plates, registrations, etc. to appropriate external or internal parties Enters all appropriate information including, but not limited to, receipts for loan fundings Writes/cuts checks to title agencies, banks/credit institutions (for lien payoffs), and customers as well as to other parties as required (i.e., referral payments and other) Responds to inquiries on the status of title processing or other matters. Investigates questions or problems and takes action to resolve the problem. Refers only the more difficult issues to supervisory personnel. Other responsibilities may be required including, but not limited to the following: bank reconciliation work, scanning of deals/other documents, minor customer account maintenance, accounting schedule review work, and Form 8300 (governmental) regulatory requirement fulfillment Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Not required, but preferred is a minimum six months title experience or two years general administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of the title and work experience Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Able to analyze issues and resolve routine problems Able to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain daily work requirements Good follow-up skills, with ability to track work in process and ensure completion Strong attention to detail Solid computer skills with some intermediate level knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, and Word Not required, but preferred is being a notary or interested in becoming a notary We are a drug-free employer
