MATERIALS EXAMINER AND IDENTIFIER
  • TITLE 32, WG-6912-7, you will perform examining and identifying duties for the most complex cegories of meriel and equipment.
Inspect, receive, sort, count, identify, and is knowledgeable of special handling techniques and procedures required for the processing of hazardous and toxic merial. Examine clothing, textiles, requiring sensory judgment as well as subjective measurement. Receive or reject meriel, equipment, including non-standard equipment, and complex assemblies for the facility based on their knowledge of products, equipment, and procedures. Schedule the receipt of property and assure th the property is identified to include identificion of all contaminants. Determine acceptance, serviceability and distribution requirements for perishable, classified, precious metals, textiles, clothing, complex electronic/mechanical equipment, assemblies and components. Perform extensive research on equipment specificions using automed systems, technical manuals and supply bulletins to determine any special requirements for complex items passing through the storage and distribution area. Assure adherence to storage compibility and determines the need for special handling/storage of certain property. Perform research of complex shipping and storage records, and commercial vendor contracts. Perform a full range of warehousing activities to include receiving, inspecting for defects, storing, selecting and shipping general or specialized bulk and bin merials and equipment. Determine warehouse configurion, setup, movement, and space utilizion plans, as regards to hazardous merial, in accordance with regulions for a specific commodity or equipment group. REQUIREMENT
Member must provide in writing with their applicion package th they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualificion.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky Nional Guard. You must be assigned to a compible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudicion of a T3 or equivalent investigion. Acceptance of a Federal position may termine a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will termine Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is loced on a tobacco free facility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
Experience which demonstres the ability to distinguish between closely reled or similar items, ability to follow procedures, ability to sort merials by type, and skill in the use of hand tools.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have experience identifying and sorting a variety of complex merials and equipment. Experience receiving merials and equipment, recording, and placing items in proper storage areas. Experience preparing all items for shipment using approprie agency instructions. Experience in mhemical equions. Experience interpreting and using Federal Supply Calogs, military and manufacturing calogs, and technical and agency manuals. Experience using and opering forklifts and motor vehicles.
