Job Description
Title Clerk / Administrative Assistant Linwood Chevrolet GMC - Mayfield, Kentucky Position Overview This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of our dealership by ensuring all vehicle title work,registration paperwork, funding documentation, and administrative tasks are completed accurately,efficiently, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, computer proficient, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment,and committed to providing excellent support to both customers and fellow employees. Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Process vehicle title work for customer licensing and registration. Complete dealer-assigned title processing. Submit electronic title applications through the DMV and other state or local agencies. Transfer vehicle titles accurately and efficiently. Submit vehicle contracts and required documentation to lenders. Process dealer trades and dealer transfer paperwork. Process customer refunds and related documentation. Maintain accurate title, registration, and funding records. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to vehicle titling and registration. Answer incoming telephone calls and assist customers as needed. Provide administrative support to the sales, finance, and management teams. Communicate professionally with county clerk offices, lenders, manufacturers, and other agencies regarding title and registration matters. Perform additional administrative and clerical duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous automotive dealership office experience preferred. Working knowledge of Kentucky vehicle title and registration procedures. Strong computer and typing skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Experience using Autosoft DMS is highly preferred. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. Ability to work well with fellow employees and customers. Current Notary Public commission preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
