Position Summary:

The title specialist is responsible for processing and filing paperwork to establish or transfer ownership of a motor vehicle. They verify lien payoffs, ensure motor vehicle transactions comply with state and federal laws, and maintain detailed records of title and registration transactions. Daily duties in this role include processing of titles and registrations for vehicles purchased and sold by the dealership, verifying the accuracy of documentation, and resolving any titling discrepancies.

Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

Manage title books/verify we have current titles Mark all used cars "Held for Resale" Process vehicle Titles/Reg for Both new and used vehicles Prepare/submit necessary state forms/docs Call banks on lien release's we've paid off when not received in timely manner Send titles to Auction /confirm receipt of payment Manage/update title issue log Follow up with finance on ongoing title issues Assist as needed with Floor Plan Audit Monthly Title Audit/emailed with Plan on old items Post DMV daily Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

CDK experience preferred Dealership experience preferred Knowledge of vehicle sales documentation, title processing, and registration requirements. Familiarity with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and paperwork processing. Ability to manage multiple deals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with sales, finance, accounting, and title departments. Prior title-processing and certification is required Previous dealership experience is a plus. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required) Valid driver's license (required)

Work Environment:

This position is based in a professional automotive dealership office setting and requires frequent interaction with the sales, finance, accounting, and title departments. The Dealership Biller works in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines, managing a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. The role involves extended periods of sitting, computer work, and document processing, with occasional movement throughout the dealership to coordinate paperwork and resolve transaction-related issues. Standard business hours apply, with occasional overtime as needed to meet month-end and reporting deadlines.
