The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, able to manage a high volume of transactions, and understands the importance of timely title work to our customers, lenders, accounting department, and dealership operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process titles and registrations for new and used vehicle sales accurately and within required timeframes. Prepare and submit North Carolina DMV title and registration paperwork. Process out-of-state title and registration transactions when applicable. Verify all deal paperwork for accuracy and completeness before submitting title work. Ensure VINs, customer information, lienholder information, purchase information, and vehicle details are accurate. Process title applications, registrations, temporary tags, license plates, transfers, duplicate titles, and lien recordings. Maintain accurate records of all title transactions and outstanding title work. Monitor incoming titles on used and traded vehicles and aggressively follow up on missing titles. Work with customers, financial institutions, auctions, wholesalers, other dealerships, and DMV offices to resolve title issues. Process lien payoffs and ensure proper documentation is obtained to secure clear titles. Maintain accurate inventory of dealer plates, temporary tags, and DMV-related supplies. Reconcile title and registration fees collected on vehicle transactions. Identify discrepancies in title fees and communicate necessary corrections to the accounting department. Maintain organized title files and supporting documentation in accordance with dealership and regulatory requirements. Track outstanding title issues and provide management with regular updates. Ensure titles are properly assigned and delivered to customers, lenders, wholesalers, or other appropriate parties. Assist accounting personnel with deal jackets, schedules, reconciliations, and related administrative responsibilities as needed. Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information. Stay current on DMV regulations and procedural changes affecting dealership title processing. Assist multiple Open Roads Automotive locations when necessary. Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned by management.
