Job Description
Bob King Automall is seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk for our Wilmington, NC location. This is not an entry-level role. We need someone with hands-on dealership title experience who understands the importance of accuracy, organization, and timely processing.
Schedule Schedule:
Monday-Friday, no weekendsHours:
8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Responsibilities Process vehicle titles and registrations accurately and within required deadlines, for both new and pre-owned sales Handle NC and out-of-state title work, including transfers, lien recordings, duplicate titles, and corrections Review deal paperwork for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required signatures and supporting documents are obtained Process payoffs and lien releases; maintain accurate title records Track outstanding titles and follow up on missing or incomplete documentation Research and resolve title discrepancies; assist with title audits and reconciliation Coordinate with lenders, customers, DMV agencies, other dealerships, and internal departments to resolve title issues Communicate effectively with Accounting, Sales, and Finance Maintain compliance with dealership policy and applicable state/federal requirements Required Qualifications Previous automotive dealership title clerk experience required Working knowledge of vehicle title and registration procedures NC DMV title processing and out-of-state title/registration experience preferred Current NC Notary Public commission highly desired (or willingness to obtain one after hire) Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills; comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment Proficient with computers and dealership/accounting software Ability to handle confidential customer and financial information professionally Why Join Bob King?
