Title Clerk - Entry Level ClosePoint USA LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Title Clerk to join our team in Somerville, New Jersey. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in learning about real estate transactions, mortgage financing, title insurance, and the settlement industry . You will gain hands-on experience with the documents, funding, and post-closing processes involved in residential real estate transactions. Prior title industry experience is not required . We are looking for someone who is professional, eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment, and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities Prepare loan packages and closing documents for real estate settlements Assist with preparing files for closing and funding Review files and documents for completeness and accuracy Prepare and process disbursements following completed closings Assist with checks, wires, payoffs, recording fees, and other closing-related payments Assist with post-closing files and document processing Field and respond to post-closing emails, document requests, and inquiries Communicate professionally with lenders, attorneys, real estate professionals, clients, and other parties involved in transactions Upload, scan, organize, and maintain transaction documents and records Assist the title and settlement team with day-to-day file processing Provide general administrative and office support as needed Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Professional written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with computers, email, PDFs, and standard office applications Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within deadlines Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree desired, but not required Prior office, banking, mortgage, legal, real estate, or title experience is helpful, but not required A Great Way to Start a Career in Real Estate This position is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the real estate closing process and can be an excellent starting point for someone interested in building a career in the title, settlement, mortgage, or real estate industries . You will learn how a real estate transaction progresses through closing preparation, mortgage documentation, funding, disbursement, recording, and post-closing while working alongside experienced title and settlement professionals.
