As a Title Clerk, you will play an important role in ensuring that vehicle title and registration transactions are completed accurately and on time. You will work closely with the Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Management teams, as well as state agencies, lenders, and customers, to ensure all required documentation is properly completed and submitted. This position requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, follow-through, and customer service. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with paperwork and electronic records while maintaining organized files and meeting established deadlines.
TITLE CLERK EXPERIENCE A MUST
Process vehicle titles, registrations, transfers, and related documentation accurately and efficiently. Review title paperwork for completeness, accuracy, signatures, and required supporting documents. Prepare and submit title and registration documents to the appropriate state and local agencies. Process lien information, lien releases, duplicate titles, and other title-related transactions as needed. Maintain accurate records of vehicle titles, registrations, and supporting documentation. Monitor title status and follow up on outstanding or delayed paperwork. Coordinate with lenders, DMV/state agencies, customers, and dealership personnel regarding title and registration matters. Ensure all transactions comply with applicable state regulations and dealership policies. Assist with resolving title discrepancies, rejected paperwork, and other documentation issues. Protect confidential customer, financial, and dealership information. Previous title clerk experience required. Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments regarding title and registration questions. Provide support to the Accounting and Administration departments as needed. Perform other administrative duties related to vehicle sales and dealership operations as needed by company. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced dealership environment.
